What’s the buzz about?

LevWedge Studios, and consequently The Greedy Show with Petey, have set their sights on combating poverty through financial education. With a strong presence on major social media platforms, especially YouTube, we are eagerly anticipating our launch in the Fall of 2023. Behind the scenes, we're developing a rich collection of content that combines puppets, humor, and real-life experiences to support our mission.

Our objectives for these channels and characters center around promoting inclusive access to financial knowledge for ALL. We hope to inspire individuals to take control of their lives, with finances being a critical component.

Way Back When…

Michael and Kandace's adventure kicked off in the not-so-wild suburbs 20 miles outside of Detroit, MI. The dynamic duo first crossed paths at Fraser High School, where they quickly became partners in crime. They continued their escapades at Western Michigan University, where their friendship blossomed into romance during their sophomore year. Post-graduation, they spent about seven years as undercover superheroes in Metro Detroit.

As they approached their 30s with no tiny sidekicks in sight, Michael and Kandace traded in their Michigan roots for a wild, wild west adventure in Denver, CO. With Kandace's tech sales career as their trusty steed, they began their great life expedition.

Greedy is Live From…

GREEDY'S SECRET LAIR... Kandace's career led them to Seattle in March 2020, right as the COVID-19 pandemic was plotting world domination.

They still maintain a humble hideout (read: studio apartment) in the city.

Nowadays, Michael and Kandace can often be found battling home improvement projects in Park City, Utah, at the "fixer-upper" fortress they bought in November 2020. The decision to conquer Park City came after realizing Seattle's rent prices were more terrifying than any supervillain. Armed with the power of remote work and dreams of conquering ski slopes, they seized the opportunity.

Following Michael's triumphant GameStop conquest, the pair decided to establish a desert vacation home for the family in early 2021, which quickly morphed into Michael's parents' full-time sanctuary and a warm-weather haven for our heroes and their hounds.

In a daring move while settling into Arizona, Michael and Kandace expanded their real estate empire by acquiring a townhome in South Lake Tahoe, CA, adding a picturesque lake hideaway to their collection.

COMING SOON….

Where on earth are these wild animals headed to next ?!?!

Our Team

Michael Peterson aka…Petey

Michael Richard Peterson was born in 1980 in Detroit, Michigan. He grew up in the northeast Detroit suburb of Clinton Township, where he attended Fraser High School. It's a tale as old as time - boy meets girl in high school, girl doesn't give boy the time of day... until they end up at the same university, that is. Kandace and Michael knew each other in high school, but it wasn't until they both attended Western Michigan University that Kandace realized what a catch Michael really was. And as they say, the rest is history (or, in this case, the beginning of a magical adventure).

At Western Michigan University, Michael pursued a Bachelor's degree in Education with a minor in Social Studies. He wasn't the most studious student. Despite this, he persevered and graduated. However, Michael realized that teaching wasn't the right career path for him, and he decided to pursue a career in sales. He tried his hand at various sales jobs, including pest control, office supplies, and low-level IT sales, but he was always on the edge of failure. In 2009, Michael was laid off from his sales job, which forced him to take on a new path. He decided to pursue a graduate degree focused on Speech-Language Pathology from 2010-2012, and despite achieving a 3.8 GPA in his pre-graduate courses, he was rejected by several universities due to his low GRE score. This setback marked the beginning of his investing journey.

Michael's investing journey began when Kandace scored a significant sales commission of $80k. She entrusted Michael with $65k, and he raced to a broker and invested the entire amount in Apple at $500 (not adjusted for the stock splits after 2012). This single investment laid the foundation for their fortune, and over the years, Michael continued to invest and refine his investing strategy.

Along the way, Michael encountered multiple wacky investment mentors. He carefully observed their game plans and took the aspects he believed were most effective, ultimately creating his own unique playbook. Through the combination of technical analysis (charts) and fundamental analysis (financial data), Michael is on a never-ending journey to make a more perfect trading and investing machine. He hopes to take you on this journey and show you the metrics and ideals that allowed him to stick it to Wall Street where the sun doesn't shine.

Today, Michael and Kandace own and operate LevWedge Studios LLC. which was established in 2023 and is headquartered in Park City, Utah. The company is focused on fighting poverty through financial education and produces The Greedy Show with Petey.

Through his experiences, Michael has learned that there's no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to investing. Instead, it takes time, patience, and a willingness to learn from both successes and failures. As Michael continues on his investing journey, he hopes to inspire others to do the same and take control of their financial futures. He encourages you to copy him and form a playbook that works for you. After all, theft is the most sincere form of flattery. It's okay to copy good ideas, and in fact, it should be encouraged more.

Kandace Peterson aka…Kando

Born amidst the hustle of 80s Detroit, her childhood was a cocktail of city vibes and the perpetual itch of wanting more. Her mom's workplace tunes? The sizzle of dishes and chink of glasses, till she switched from serving cocktails to serving pills as a Pharmacy Technician. While mom hustled between shifts, home was a comedy of errors: a boat in the driveway and, occasionally, no groceries in the pantry. That's Detroit living for you!

A standout memory? Mom falling ill in 2016, and Kandace facing the daunting task of untangling a web of... well, financial mess. Home life was, let's say, the right amount of chaos to help her develop a thick skin, deal with volatile and explosive personalities, and keep the peace while also making progress.

Her teen years had Michael as a constant companion, the rock-solid partner who saw her through family dramas and a revolving door of friends, colleagues, and pets. College wasn't just about books but balancing the bills, she worked late and crazy hours as a server at TGI Fridays, yes…back in the days when they wore “flare”.

Professionally, she started out of college with a gig where after passing the Series 7 and 63, she became a “financial advisor”, only to realize cold-calling isn’t as cool as it sounds, and “insurance salesperson” would have been a much more appropriate and fitting title for the work. After about 8 months of living the nightmare, she fled the toxic scene of madmen peddling fear and solutions labeled as disability insurance and ran back as fast as she could to Technology. Leaning on her degree in Information Systems, and skills gained in the restaurant industry, she embarked down the wild road of a young female sales person in a male dominated industry. A wild ride of breaking gender barriers, navigating corporate jungles, and proving that you don’t need to be in the boy’s club to cash big checks.

Medical revelations threw her a curveball in 2009, discovering a genetic risk factor for cancer when she was diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome. The result? A pact with hubby : no kids from them; if parenthood ever beckoned, adoption was the route. Today, in their early 40s, they are perfectly content, sans kids.

2013 was fire. Deals were slaying, adventures were beckoning, and Detroit? It felt too snug. So, off to Denver they went, chasing dreams, breaking barriers, and cashing in... quite lucratively.

Today? You’ll find Kandace strolling Google’s halls, living her dream. And as for Michael’s jackpot with GameStop? That came to fruition only a few short months after she landed and started the Google gig, so while most people would stop working or retire after reaching the level of financial gain that they had, that’s just not the way either of them are wired. Today, now years removed from that whirlwind, Kandace continues to run at an insane pace, doing so many things that she finds rewarding and fulfilling in hopes of impacting people in a meaningful and valuable way.

Through it all, she's continuing to laugh at life's curveballs and is diving headfirst into its next big adventure - The Greedy Show.
